Samuel Alito
Samuel Anthony Alito, Jr. (born April 1, 1950) is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He was appointed by President George W. Bush and has served on the court since January 31, 2006. Read more about him from Wikipedia…

It is nice that there is younger blood in the Supreme Court now. I remember worrying a few years ago. So many of the Justices were over 70! It is a job that people tend to hold onto and never leave. Thus far I am feeling positive about the shift in age although I would like to see a better balance of views. Perhaps the imbalance feeds debates and helps them to reach valid decisions.

Another job approval rating of 1? What is going on in this world that we are allowing all of these individuals make decisions that are not the decisions that we the people desire? I pray and hope for change.

It is wonderful that Justice Alito works so hard to uphold the first amendment rights of American citizens. Our first amendment rights are what make America the land of the free. The free to express ourselves, voice our opinions and not be stifled.

I find that justice Alito is often too conservative. It seems as if he swings conservative even if his beliefs steer him in another direction. His rulings on abortion and many other rights often concern me. Perhaps he will feel the need to retire soon.

Justice Alito is a man that has shown time and time again his ability to make the tough decisions. He assures justice in his cases and is well respected. In a time of a liberal government it is nice to know that we have a conservative still alive and kicking in the Supreme Courts. President Bush could not have chosen a more qualified individual for this position.

When pro-lifers feel that justice Alito’s nomination is a victory for them I have to be concerned. In a world with so many changes I would not want to see a reversal of Roe vs. Wade. Although Alito stated in his hearings that he would keep an open mind about the abortion topic one has to wonder. He was not brave enough to take a stance and share where he stood. To me this spoke volumes and I cannot wait for his retirement to come!

From what I have heard, Justice Alito has been accused multiple times of being a racist. I would like to know how a man who feels that others are less than he is has gained so much power in our nation. It is truly deplorable!

Justice Alito has shown time and time again since his nomination in 2006 that he is qualified for his position. He views all cases with an open mind and heart. I think that it is nice to see a man who has really given his all to his position and ruled according to the constitutional rights of Americans time and time again!
